Visitation to the Caribbean:

The Grand Master has recently returned from the Caribbean where accompanied and assisted by a small deputation of Grand Officers divided the District into two District Grand Priories; the existing District will continue under the appellation "The Caribbean" and the new District will be "Jamaica, Panama and the Bahamas".

The expansion is indicative of the enthusiasm within Scottish Masonry in that part of the world.

The Grand Master together with R.E. Fraters John Lawrie, GCT Grand Prior, David Niven, KCT, Grand Secretary, V.E. Fraters Joseph Devlin, Grand Chamberlain and Christopher Kelly, Assistant Grand Chamberlain together with the ladies who accompanied them would wish to express their most sincere appreciation to all those members and their families within those Districts who were so supportive of the visit.

We would offer our congratulations to the new District Grand Priors R.E. Fraters John A C Sinclair and Claude L Assing, Jamaica, Panama & The Bahamas and The Caribbean respectively and the Fraters installed into office with them, trusting all will have a most happy and enjoyable tenure of office.

At the same time express our congratulations to Past D.G. Prior Alfred B Moore, KCT on his retiral, having completed a most successful term as D.G. Prior in one of the most spread out Districts within the Order and to thank his lovely wife Shirley for her support of Freddie during that time.
